On Thursday, I was invited to Amal's house to have some "fattet magdoos". When we were getting ready to eat I told her "I have a feeling something wrong is going to happen! My heart aches!"
She said: "Yea, me too, I am bored of routine".
I said: "This month has been so busy and full of fun activities, it's not about being bored, it's about having some bad feelings".
We, ate and I told her that I love the fatteh but the lasagna on the side wasn't good. Yea, just like that :)
I was getting ready to leave for my Quran class when I started complaining about a stomach ache. She wondered if it was her food! I wasn't sure actually...I never felt this kind of pain before...
I took the girls and went to my student's house and I asked the mother if I could stay in the car for 10 min hoping to get better...I didn't feel better!
I suggested we start the class, and I couldn't bare the pain...I called Jeeej at work to come and pick me up! It took him almost an hour due to bad traffic...What was I doing till he arrived????
I was laying with Selma on my student's tiny bed! SO EMBARRASSING!!
He picked me up and I started to believe that it was only severe gas...We put the girls to sleep early that night and I called my FIL. He suggested hot water bottle and a massage with Castor oil. I slept all night long after I pumped some milk for Selma...I woke up with a different kind of pain. Jeeej decided to take off. I went to the urgent care down the street walking and the doctor there told me it might be the appendix!
It was the appendix :(
The long day at the e.r was NOT fun at all! A lot of torture till you get in. I was there at 11 am but went to surgery at 11 pm! Came out grumpy, tired and starving at 2 am. I stayed without food from Thursday 3:30 pm till Saturday 2 am.
Amal took Selma and my mother in law took Mariyah. Each one slept in a different place. I slept in a different place. It didn't feel good to be away from the girls. I wasn't worried about myself! I knew it's going to be an easy surgery but it won't be easy on the girls!
I made so many phone calls to Amman and to my friends here...All were supportive and loving!
I felt blessed and loved all the time. Everyone is taking good care of me, Alhamdolillah...even the girls are being nice ;)
Mariyah goes to the day care and Selma came back home to us yesterday evening. It went smooth...
Jeeej is cleaning for me, his mom helps too. My friends are cooking and I am being spoiled :)
|Amal dressed up Selma and brought her to the hospital for a quick visit...I couldn't lift her up, but I kissed her big time and wished I could hold her close... |
|Beautiful flowers from Jeeej and friends!|
