Don't worry!! :)

Yesterday,,,

I can't be more thankful for having hubby next to me while we were watching the baby for the very first time...

They just make you worry a lot about everything...

I'm a big worry wort myself, I know...but they just have to tell you all what they have so you won't sue them later on if something wrong happened, God forbids.

After she gave me a lecture about how important it is to do some tests and another ultra sound and blah blah blah...Jeeej made her shut up saying: No matter how the baby comes out it doesn't matter! We'll be happy no matter what!!!

And just before ending the ultra sound session, we got a msg from our baby on the screen! It made me forget about the whole awkward situation...She -yes SHE :) - raised her thumb up! She was trying to calm us down saying: Don't worry baba and mama, everything is going to be alright...inshallah:) -God Willing!-

Why do I LOVE his surprises?!...

From my past Eid experiences here in the states, I thought this Adha would be the same...a boring and lonely one...
Going to prayer, meet NO one I know there, have breakfast with hubby and then staying home till he's done with work so that we can do something together later in the evening...

This time, knowing that his days off would be on the first two days of Eid -by coincidence- got me so excited, but again, having nothing planned till Tuesday evening made me worry!

Later at night, he asked me to pack!! for one night, and to make sure not to forget my swim suit!!!
It's December!! Where am I going to swim?! Wouldn't it make me sick to swim in the cold weather, even in heated water?!?!

Where are we going? how far? where are we staying?! a new city? have I ever been there before?! What should I expect?! and many other questions that drove him crazy...

In the morning, we went to the prayer at the convention, and I just loved it there, really organized! I met a lot of people I know...mostly my students and their parents! Who else :pp
For breakfast, I was craving for some falafel :D We went with Sarsour family to the great restaurant here "That's a wrap"! and it was a BLAST! The food was so yummi....
falafel, shawerma -chicken and meat-, tabbouleh, hummos, mtabbal, and falafel again!
We loved it...

Then our SURPRISE trip started!! It took us around an hour and a half to reach the destination...

And once I saw it, I couldn't believe my eyes!! My Jeeej had booked a very nice suite for us at the Vino Bello Resort in Napa city!

We both had a great time there, hamdillah...the chef cooked a nice meal :p we swam in the heated pool, and enjoyed the jacuzzi outdoors...

The service and the staff were extremely amazing!

We both were living a dream over there...it was for one night only, but we enjoyed every single moment...

We watched Man of the year movie with some hot pop corn...by the fireplace:) and I still can't believe I was there for Eid!!

Later on Thursday we went to San Francisco for extra fun, and had duck for lunch at a Chinese Restaurant...
Walking there is sooooo much fun for me...I just love it...we went to China town there for the first time and it reminded us of the streets of Jabal Hussein in Jordan :p
Perfect Eid...il hamdillah...
Jeeej made it a perfect Eid for us here...he made me swim in December...he made me eat duck! My prince drew a big smile on my face during the 4 days of Eid...and still I am smiling...thanking God for the best gift on earth,,, the swim suit and Jeeeeeeej :DDD

Fatayir Nido! The legend :p

And they taste yummi too:)
No really...Yesterday we went to the movies to watch I Am Legend for Will Smith! We went to the 1st show at 12 midnight, and the theater was packed once the movie started!
It was really nice! we both liked it! and I say it's a must see movie:)
I'm bad with reviewing movies, but Will's role was really impressive! He did a great job -As always-! And I'm glad we finally saw it...We've been waiting for it for months, and couldn't wait t
till today to go and watch it :D
Oh, the fatayir are : sfee7a -meat-, white cheese -from Amman- and Pizza -the simplest way- :p
So what!? I'm pregnant and I get tired sometimes :D
This will be our dinner tonight after I come back from work at the school:)
Oh, and by the way, My manager is back -Finally-! So I'm no Boss anymore! :)) It was a lot of pressure being a boss...running a whole school wasn't easy at all...but I had to do it for her...Her Dad passed away in Jordan while she was visiting him! May God rest his soul in peace!

We heard you!!!

Today, at 3 pm, we heard you little one! Or as baba Jeeej likes to call you, Baby X !
I was there, for an appointment with the doctor, and baba was at work...It took the doctor a while to find you, you were hiding yourself somewhere deep!!

Once I heard your heart beats, I started to cry...your heart was beating really REALLY fast! bom bom bom bom...and loud, thanks to the speakers:D

I called your baba right away, I'm so glad he was free and picked it up and he heard you singing...I was still crying...I was stunned,,it was a magical moment for me...I started laughing and saying: I'm pregnant!! and I saw the Doc. crying...It was a very happy moment! One of my happiest moments ever!!

Hamdillah...you made me believe you do EXIST! and now I just can't wait to see you and hold you and everything :D:D Thank you God!!!

I wish I had a recorder with me to record the sound, but I didn't know we were doing this today! I just didn't know...

I wish it was a reasonable time in Amman to call my parents and let them hear the beats...Time difference SUCKS!!

I hugged my doctor and told her that SHE MADE MY DAY!

I went to Jamba Juice and got me and Jeeej something nice to drink, I just wanted an excuse to go to Jeeej's work, to see him, give him his drink and tell him how much I love him...

Allah Kareeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeem...
God is Generous!!

My poor student...

When I first saw her, I couldn't believe she is 4.5 years old! She looks really younger...skinny and so small! I knew it's not going to be easy to teach her, but her parents have started teaching her how to read Arabic since she was 3, so I thought it wont be a big deal...

She is from Pakistan, and the family communicates in Urdu, so her English is not that good!

She is spoiled, it's so easy for her to cry, she actually cried twice while I was teaching her...It wasn't hard to calm her down, but sometimes I think to myself and wonder: what I'm I doing here exactly? Am I baby sitting or teaching?!

Her mom stays in the next room, the whole time, so whenever she hears her cry or complain she jumps in, and starts talking to her in Urdu...she makes her calm down and then leaves us alone again...I don't like it when she does this and I told her that, but she thinks it's the best for her kid because she knows her the most!

She seems to be threatening her with the father because she keeps the phone in her hand acting as if she is calling someone!

Last week, the father was there, a BIG guy who seemed to be really nice and was telling me how happy they are for having me as a teacher for their girl...

I started teaching her, and she started whining, saying that she is tired...so the mother came in and made her quiet, and then left :s
The mother then came in carrying a plate of tangerines for me, - I also asked her once not to bring me anything while teaching because it distracts the little girl a lot-!

So the girl started crying saying: "I want the oranges! I want to eat it all!"
Her mom got UPSET! and said: "I will call your father"...and left!
The girl started crying like crazy...she started saying: "no, don't call him, he beats me a lot!" She started hitting her head so hard with her hand saying: "he hits me like this, like this"! and then started pulling her hair and said: "he takes my hair away, like this, like this" I was about to run away! I felt horrible!!!

The BIG NICE father came in so she started SCREAMING! he held her FROM HER HAND! and took her to another room...
Now I was shaking...
The mother said to me smiling: "It's a father-daughter moment" :s:s:s

The little girl came back running, with a yellow face, jumped on her high chair and started reading from her book as fast and as good as never before!!!!!
