Busy Life...

So my friend who's been married for few years now, with 2 kids, and lives near by in Cupertino gave me a call today, sometime around 2:30 pm and was surprised I picked it up...Because I'm usually busy at that time of the day...giving classes...

So I told her that even though I'm staying home today, because its my day off, I'm still busy watching the plumber fixing the disposal and the sink in my kitchen,,,I just couldn't do anything...not even take a nap while he was here...

Not only that...he worked for a couple of hours trying to fix it, and then, he decided he can't do the major job, and since the professional plumber is being busy today fixing the broken pipes in the building after the quake yesterday, he told me he'll be back this evening sometime around 8 pm...

So while talking to my friend, we started complaining about how hectic life here is! How busy you can get and how the day passes by really quick!!
How easy it was when we were still single living under our fathers' roof! How nice and satisfying it was to have our clothes cleaned and folded for us...our bedrooms cleaned...The meal warm waiting for us after a long tiring day...snacks were always there for us, filling the fridge...no worries about shopping for more!!
How things get broken in the house and suddenly fixed by some kind of hidden power...

Well yes...We used to help...but still...nothing major!
We were spoiled, really spoiled!! But never believed we were!!

Girls, living with your parents...still single, engaged or about to get engaged,,,enjoy it,,,to the maaaaaaaaaaax! and count your blessings!

Sometimes, I feel I still need to do more during my day...but can't find the time to do so...
My social life isn't as good as before...
and me and Jeeej are still childless...so I just wonder how busier life can get after we have kids sharing us our life!!!

The Plumber just showed up with 2 other guys helping him....hope it gets fixed sooooon...so we can go visit our friends tonight:)

Maiouuuush ZILZAAAAAAAAAL!!!

I swear to God, it was the scariest moment of my WHOLE LIFE!!!!
I was chatting with Maioush....and my home started shaking...First I thought someone was digging in the wall or something...then it got WORSE and Worse...and WOOOORSE...
The whole building started shaking...and I could hear people coming out of their apartments...

The first thing I did was calling the 1st number on the dialed numbers on my cell...it was Maioush...

I was crying...hehehhehehee Maioooooooooooush....zilzaaaaaaaaaal!!!!!
and she started LAUGHING!! saying: it's ok,,,the earth is dancing!!! hehehehe
I kept crying but she made me feel better!

I was like: why am I calling you, I should be calling Jeeej right now!!!

I tried to, but it wasn't working...

Well,,,a strong earthquake just hit Santa Clara...and it's the strongest one I've ever experienced!

It's still cooking!!

My favourite student Naheel keeps asking me the funniest questions ever! I remember one month before I got pregnant, she asked me: Where do you live?!
- I live in San Jose!
- With your father?
- No, with my husband!!
- Are you married?!?!?!
- yup!
- You have kids?!
- Nope!
- WHYYYYYYY?!?!?!?!
- I'm waiting...
-AAAAHHH...waiting for your belly to growwwww!!!

The other day she heard her mom giving me some advices about pregnancy...so yesterday, during our class...she asked me: Did you have your baby yet?!
- Noooooooo,,,, It's still cooking ;)

I love her! she is so cute!!

It's been a while since I blogged ...I simply don't know why...it's so tempting, but I just don't feel like it! I'm missing a lot of the posts on my favourite blogs! I'm not checking any of them these days...I'm kind of busy...but not too busy, it's just that I'm not in the mood :s

Hormones?! Nausea?! Stressed out?! Excited?!
Maybe a combination of all!! May God be with Jeeej...
But above all, I'm enjoying it...I love what I'm going through...

Sometimes I love everything about food, cooking, eating, craving...and some other times I just hate everything related to it, even mentioning the word itself!
At the beginning I lost some weight, but now I'm gaining it back :D

The last couple of weeks, I was so confused about what I want to have for delivery...a midwife at home or a doctor at the hospital...The two options were fighting inside me, up until 3 days ago...I decided I want a doctor! It took me a while to convince Jeeej that I'm not changing my mind because of the high payments to the midwife...I just felt really worried the whole time I was considering a midwife...the WHAT IF question bothered me a lot!!! And I just need to relax during the coming 7 months!!! I need to relax...

I'm still giving my classes...21 students every single week! I still go to work at the MCA, and I'm living my life normally :) But feeling busier than ever!!

I really missed blogging...

Last weekend, we went to Monterey and stayed at the Hyatt and had a great time at the old fisherman's wharf and at the aquarium, and had great food too!
We also joined the Audi team from all around the country to watch the care race there, where the car Audi R10 won the first place! It was a great and a unique experience too!
Later on Saturday, we drove over a 100 mile away from Monterey to attend jeeej's cousin's wedding! It was really nice there...something new for me of course, but had fun with the BIG family ;)
I got tired after the trip, I mean really tired, but it was worth it! I just wished it all happened during the Eid, not a week after...but il hamdillah for everything:)

Eid is everywhere BUT here!!!
WHY!??!
Yesterday my family called me from Amman wishing me a happy Eid! I thought that this time we'll all celebrate it together, unlike last year! But again our community decided it's on Saturday and announced it at the beginning of Ramadan!

Then my uncle called me from Chicago...They are celebrating Eid there tooooo!!!
I woke up this morning and realized that all the Arab bloggers are celebrating Eid...
Everybody is celebrating Eid...why not here?!?!?!?!? :((((

It's not that I'm fasting, or looking forward to a great Eid here, but still...
I need to feel connected!

Jeeej has work this weekend. As for me I am not giving classes on Sat. & Sun. -of course-, I will try to keep myself busy here, so I'm doing laundry on Sat. !!

Tomorrow morning we'll go to the mosque Inshallah for the prayer, thousands of Muslims go to the prayer every time and this time I'll make sure I take the camera with me:)
Then we'll have a breakfast outside...Hope it's going to make me feel like it's Eid here!!

I miss AMMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!

LITTLE jeedo!!

I don't care if it's a little Jeeej or a little Nido!!! All I want and hope for is a healthy baby :) Carrying Jeeej's eyes and heart and my Mathematical skills...NOOOOOT!!!

It's an amazing feeling that I just cannot describe!! I tried to wait more before posting this, but I just couldn't! Happy moments are always nice to share!!

We are blessed...We thank God as much as we can, and it's never enough...

We knew about it on the 26th of Sep., on our first night at the new place!
Mama was the first one we told...and I hear that Baba is the happiest father on earth...
I wish I have all my beloved ones around me...
Having Jeeej with me makes it all perfect!! We are living a dream, still...
Whenever we are silent, I simply say to Jeeej: WE're pregnant!!! hehe

The parents of my students are being so nice and they try to express their happiness by cooking for me and giving me yummi stuff to take home :D

Now...Isn't this the MOST BEAUTIFUL RAMADAN EVER?!?!
Ramadan is so generous, and Allah SWT is even more generous!!

My brother got himself a new name, he is khalo -uncle- Ward from now on...

Jeeej is trying to make me get used to be called mama...my name is becoming mama Nido!!

Hope we'll be a happy BABA & MAMA,,,next June inshallah -God willing-!!!
