So Sweet :(

Before marriage, I remember how hard it was for mama to figure out what to cook. She does a lot of cooking! and it's always good:) I remember how she used to call baba at work asking him: what do you want to eat? She used to ask the same question loudly sometimes, so that we all participate in making the big decision...and what really bothers her getting the answer :"Anything" !!!

Jeeej and I have been married for 5 months now...not for long, I know, but I started going through the same already. It takes a lot of effort to decide. I don't know why...and whenever I think of something to cook, I either have no time to do it, or just not in the mood.

Our meals during the last couple of weeks were either cooked by husbandi, or ordered from restaurants. I'm not complaining at all, I just love what he cooks, it just worries me. I mean later on, when life gets serious, what am I going to do?!

Yesterday, I put myself in the kitchen and decided to cook the ingredients of "zahra bi laban" ="cauliflower in yogurt" that I got last week. I fried the cauliflower and onions. Then started mixing the yogurt with starch...and for the very first time, I didn't taste any of what I was doing...

I started to cook the yogurt, and then added the chicken and the vegetables. and while mixing all together...I decided to taste :D

SO SWEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!! WHY?!?! the onions were not that caramelized!!! I didn't add sugar instead of starch...I picked the yogurt carton from the trash, and read the ingredients...SUGAR is number one!!!! Now, am I supposed to read the ingredients of yogurt?!?! Isn't it enough to read "Plain low fat yogurt, Ca and Protein added"?!?!

I felt so bad! Jeej was on the way back home...so I added 3 Maggi cubes, and then garlic salt...and then regular salt...and dinner was served and eaten...and -to my surprise- enjoyed!!!

An hour later, I had to confess...to feel good.
What made me feel guiltier though was remembering how I made fun of Jeeej when he once brought the same exact kind to eat with Mujaddarah :D
